Transport yourself to Spain at Casa Mono!
They’re one of my favorite Michelin-starred Spanish restaurants serving up a bunch of tapas and desserts. They also offer an impressive beverage list, including Txakolina, a traditional Spanish wine from the Basque region that is crisp and slightly effervescent. This wine isn’t only refreshing, it’s an experience to have! Servers pour the wine into your glass from above their heads in order to keep the tiny bubbles intact. Truly a sight to see (and drink)!
Can't go wrong with Tapas
When it comes to the food, you honestly can’t go wrong with anything you order. Though, I would recommend coming with a few other people to truly maximize your experience. What better way to eat than to be able to sample a little bit of everything! Although not an extensive menu, a few stand out items on their dinner menu include: Bacalao Croquetas with Orange Alioli, Confit Goat with Avocado Queso, Scallion Ash & Sicilian Pistachios, Pulpo with Fennel and Grapefruit, and Patatas Bravas. They also offer the famed Jamón Iberico, which is made the same way as Serrano Ham or Prosciutto, but the meat comes from Iberico pigs.
Insider tip: order the Razor Clams!
They’re occasionally an off menu item, but I promise you won’t be disappointed. The clams are perfectly cooked and coated in olive olive, garlic and parsley - the perfect dip for the crusty bread they serve with your meal.
With both indoor and outdoor seating, Casa Mono is the perfect place to gather up some friends, enjoy a glass of wine, and dig into delicious Spanish cuisine!
